KS2 Blog#9

Hello and welcome to the ninth KS2 blog.

Hot off the press-all work done by volunteers in 10 minutes flat-no helping, editing or amending.  Over to the girls for Science Exhibition Day.

A massive well done to Mrs. Mills for organising this at such a busy time of year:

Wow, today has been so hectic. Today year 6 put on a science exhibition and we had so many people come in. Our topic this term in science was the human body and we put on an exhibition for the parents and children of year 3 to see our home-learning projects and work we did in a team at school.

I was in a group with Nichelle and Poppy and we took people’s pulse rate after running and doing a warm-up. We had lots of people come in and after they did there exercise we awarded them with a glass of water and a biscuit, also whoever was the fittest got a certificate. When we were about half way through the exhibition we got a surprise visit from the year 3 pupils who thought they would come and have a look. We started to take out six people at a time but then more and more people wanted to come and we ended up with 15 at a time! After that, we ran out of biscuits (we had two packs) but luckily I had some stickers to give out.

Overall I had an amazing afternoon with the exhibition and I hope we can do it again. I really enjoyed showing my work off to the parents and year 3’s. I think it is a very good idea and more year groups should do it.

Fantastic! That’s what it was the Year6 team put on an exhibition to show how well they can work together and shows of our science skills! the whole year got into groups and organise loads of different games and experiments.

Parents and year three’s said ‘’I enjoyed the different types of activities it was all very lively and entertaining-Such Fun. Year three pupils said ‘’it was really fun all the activities were great.

’The year 6 team said that they really enjoyed having a free reign a really want to do it again. Who wouldn’t?

A fun experience I should say and year 6 would say that too. The Games were amazing there were Feely boxes, Pulse experiments, pin the bone on the Skeleton and Quizzes’ think it’s fair to say it was great fun from the whole of year 6.

Wow   today has been so amazing at our year 6 science exabishion

There were so many activity’s like a feely box, pulse rate , build the body and so much more  also we had year 3 and so many parents visit to day . Me , Anne- Marie, Kiara and Georgia ran a stall with a feely box and we had allot of  visitors . The children and adults’ all did well touching the things in the mystery box but I think that the children were much better. We left a comment paper and we had so many uplifting comments.

I have to say that today was extremely good and brilliant for all of us and the year 6 staff have been so supportive with our exabishion  and we are all so grateful.

We all hope that we can show our projects again as an exabishion because we all enjoyed today and we would love to do it again!
